Carwash Conditions of Entry
By purchasing, redeeming, or using any wash service at Hang 5 Carwash, you agree to the following Car Wash Conditions of Entry.
1. GENERAL DISCLAIMER
Our express tunnel car wash uses automated equipment that makes normal contact with vehicle surfaces.
Hang 5 Carwash is not responsible for damage resulting from the condition of the vehicle or its components, including pre-existing damage, underlying defects, or compromised parts.
In assessing any matter, Hang 5 Carwash may rely on CCTV footage, entry and exit images, licence plate recognition (LPR) data, system logs, and transaction records. These records take precedence over customer statements or photographs taken after the event.
2. CLEAN GUARANTEE (REWASH ONLY)
If you are not satisfied with the cleanliness of your wash, Hang 5 Carwash offers a same-day rewash guarantee, subject to the conditions below.
Clean Guarantee Conditions

Applies to wash quality only, not vehicle damage

Must be raised before leaving the site or on the same day as the wash

Vehicle must be present on-site for assessment
-
Original wash must have been completed in accordance with all signage and instructions
-
A rewash may be provided at the discretion of staff
Exclusions
The Clean Guarantee does not apply to:

Pre-existing stains, etching, or contamination
-
Heavy mud, tar, cement, tree sap, bug etching, or industrial fallout
-
Vehicles with excessive build-up unsuitable for an express wash
-
Issues arising from failure to follow entry instructions or vehicle eligibility requirements
The Clean Guarantee provides a rewash only and does not include refunds, credits, repairs, or compensation.
Providing a rewash does not imply fault or acceptance of liability.
3. EXCLUDED ITEMS & COMPONENTS
Hang 5 Carwash accepts no liability for damage to or loss of:

Side mirrors and mirror covers, trims, moldings, badges, emblems

Antennas, wipers, spoilers, roof racks, tow bars, snorkels, ladder racks, awnings

Licence plates or plate covers
-
Glass and plastics (windscreens, headlights, tail lights, sensors, cameras)
-
Aftermarket items (wraps, PPF, graphics, body kits, valve stems, non-factory accessories)
-
Items that are loose, taped, glued, fatigued, or poorly installed
-
Items dislodged by dryers or blowers
-
Vehicles with open tray beds or unsecured loads
-
Mechanical or electrical failures occurring during or after the wash
4. PRE-EXISTING DAMAGE
Hang 5 Carwash is not liable for:

Pre-existing damage
-
Underlying structural weakness
-
Adhesive failure
-
Broken clips or mounting points
Failure of components during or after the wash due to broken clips, weakened fittings, or adhesive failure is deemed pre-existing or an underlying condition and does not imply causation.
The occurrence of damage during or after the wash does not, by itself, establish that the wash process caused the damage.
These exclusions apply to both Wash Club members and single-wash customers.
5. FAILURE TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS
Hang 5 Carwash is not responsible for damage caused by failure to follow:

Pay-station prompts
-
Posted signage
-
Staff instructions
Including, but not limited to:
-
Windows or sunroofs not fully closed
-
Failure to place the vehicle in neutral
-
Brakes applied while inside the tunnel
-
Improper alignment on entry
-
Driver distraction, including mobile phone use
Any incident or damage resulting from driver input inside the tunnel remains the driver’s responsibility.
6. VEHICLE RESTRICTIONS
The following vehicles must not enter the wash:

Vehicles with ground clearance below 120mm
-
Vehicles with overall height exceeding 2100mm
Entry of an incompatible vehicle is entirely at the customer’s own risk.
7. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
Before entry, customers must:

Ensure the vehicle is mechanically sound
-
Remove or securely fasten all non-factory items
-
Fold mirrors where possible
-
Retract or remove antennas
-
Disclose any unusual modifications or vehicle conditions prior to entry
-
Visually inspect the vehicle and not proceed if any component is loose, damaged, or compromised
8. NO RELIANCE ON STAFF STATEMENTS
Any verbal or informal statements made by on-site staff are provided for general assistance only and do not vary, override, or form part of these Conditions of Entry.
Customers must rely on posted signage, pay-station prompts, receipts, and the published Car Wash Conditions of Entry and Wash Club Terms of Agreement.
On-site staff are not authorised to assess liability, approve repairs, or make commitments regarding refunds or compensation.
Any reliance on verbal statements is at the customer’s own risk.
9. NOTIFICATION OF ALLEGED VEHICLE DAMAGE
Timeframe & Submission Process
Any notification of alleged vehicle damage must be made before leaving the site or as soon as reasonably practicable on the same day of the wash. Notifications submitted outside this timeframe may be declined where the condition cannot be reasonably verified.

The notification must include:

Vehicle registration

Date and approximate time of wash

Clear photographs of the alleged damage
Verbal reports to on-site staff, social media messages, or third-party communications are not sufficient for assessment.
On-site staff are not authorised to assess liability, approve repairs, or authorise refunds or compensation.
Submission of a notification does not imply acceptance of liability.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, Hang 5 Carwash excludes liability for any loss or damage arising from use of the facility, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
11. ACCEPTANCE
By entering the wash tunnel or purchasing a wash (single or membership), you confirm acceptance of these Car Wash Conditions of Entry in full.
